Location

The Mousetrap Backpackers is located in Paihia, the Bay of Islands, which is only a 3 hour drive North from Auckland and within half a days drive to Cape Reinga.

You can reach us by Intercity coachlines, Mana bus, Kiwi Experience and Stray bus, which arrive daily from Auckland, Whangarei and Kaitaia (Intercity only) see links page for details. Ask your coach driver to drop you off at the Mousetrap in Kings Road or we can collect you from the bus-stop.

For those with vehicles, we have ample parking and facilities for people camping in their vans.

The Mousetrap is located in Kings Road, Paihia, which is a 5 minute walk from the town centre and the bus-stops. Kings Road also has great bars and restaurants.
